6 Light Textures

I shot these photos a while ago and by moving my camera voilà, I get the effect of a light texture so I thought whoever wants to use it as a light textures for their own made icons, signatures, wallpapers etc. as I've been using them myself. Comments will be appreciated and please credit me while using them. Enjoy!

Exams, exams and more exams!

This year has been like hell, I've been followed by exams and this week and the next one I'll be studying for my Term II exams... Wish me luck! Today was my first day and I feel releaved as I've done my Trigonometry exam, it used to be easy last year but this year its getting harder.

I've studied till 1 AM, not that I've been studying the whole day! =P I've spent the whole noon and morning surfing the net or watching TV and ofcourse eating =P Food is my weakness lol.

Tomorrow is my Pre-Calculus exam and I'm hoping to do well as my grades in the Math subjects haven't been so good but I'm expecting this will turn out good as it's much easier than Trigo. Later comes Physics and Chemistry, Chemistry its not very hard but very complicated while Physics needs much understanding.

I can't wait to be done with these 3 exams as the rest are more than easy and I wont take much time to study. The last day will be March 17th and later I'll have a short spring break for six days... Can't wait as I'm very excited to watch Race in the cinemas, it's my favorite genre; action thriller! Pheww! I'm done for today.. =P

It's been very boring lately, I haven't watched any film after Taare Zameen Par.. I'm waiting for Race to release as it looks like a fast paced thriller juding by its promos and I'm liking the music album as well. Anyway, Amisha looked hot and sexy like never before in Feb. 2008's issue of Maxim.. Check out the cover:

I'm loving her new look, she's looking better than ever! She lost a lot of weight for her new Yash Raj/Kunal Kohli project, it's releasing on May or June this year. I can't wait for its release, I'd be running out of school on its last day and immidiately to the cinemas. :P I forgot to metion my recently launched website of Katrina Kaif, Kat-Kaif.com. Taare Zameen Par: Movie Review

The best movie of the year – Taare Zameen Par. This movie should definitely do wonders at the box office and catch the attractions of millions of the audience. Aamir Khan succeeded as an actor and as a director he succeeds even more! With this film, the director Aamir Khan arrives!

The songs are very touching and the lyrics is wonderful; Maa stands out the most!

Aamir Khan is wonderful as a director; he directs the film so beautifully that one cannot believe that any person wouldn’t like this film. He delivers an excellent performance! But it is Darsheel Safary who is the show-stealer is the film. An award-worthy performance all the way! His performance cannot be described in words. Definitely the best performance by a child star in the HiFI. Tisca Chopra is splendid. Tanay Cheda is great. Vipin Sharma is fine. Sachet Engineer is alright. The teachers make an impact.

Overall, thank you Aamir Khan for making such a beautiful and meaningful film! It truly deserves a lot of mention and will be surely remembered in the following years… Must-watch!

New layout!

I’ve finally put up a new layout for my L.J… I’m using blue again after a while; I used pictures and caps of Amisha Patel from Aap Ki Khatir (2006). Courtesy: Amisha-Patel.net.

I’ve tried to design a header that is a bit different from my usual designs, didn’t want something fancy. I got inspired by two fabulous artists; divya_g and farrah_m. I hope you guys like the header and layout; please feel free to post what you think about it!

Hello everyone,

I haven't been here for ages and that is because I was having problems with my connection. I hope that problem doesn't occur again. Anyway, I missed posting around so I have a lot to say...

I'm on my winter break so I'll try to be active as much as I can although I'm somehow busy not being at home. Unfortunately, school is starting within 10 days! :P

I've watched tons of movies that I haven't reviewed such as Salaam-E-Ishq, Guru, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd, Nishabd, Namastey London, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Apne, Partner, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Jab We Met, Saawariya, Om Shanti Om, Goal and finally, Welcome.

A few that have highly impressed me include Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd, Namastey London, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Jab We Met,Om Shanti Om. The rest either sucked or were below expectations. I'm looking forward to watch Aaja Nachle, Taare Zameen Par and maybe Dus Kahaniyaan.

Apart from films, I'm gonna post some of my not so recent artwork that I haven't posted yet. I know I'm quite late but Eid Mubarak everyone!

School is over!

Finally, school is over! Last day was on June 6th...I haven't been able to update my L.J because I was busy with school and websites.

I've watched several movies during this year such as Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. which was very entertaining! Everyone delivered an excellent performance! Amisha was hilarious, definitely one her best performances! I must say this movie is highly recommended! I've also watched Namastey London & Ta Ra Rum Pum...Both were very good. I've become a fan of Katrina Kaif after watching Namastey London. Ta Ra Rum Pum was really good, I liked Saif & Rani in this film! My fave song from the film is Ab To Forever, I can't stop listening to it! :D

Anyway, tommorrow is Amisha's birthday! Happy early birthday Amisha, I'll keep the rest for tommorrow! ;)

Watch out for Farhan Akhtar & Ritesh Sidhwani's Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. scheduled for release on February 23rd, 2007! Directed by debutante Reema Kagti, Farhan Akhtar's assisant director. The film stars an ensemble cast: Boman Irani, Shabana Azmi, Kay Kay Menon, Raima Sen, Amisha Patel, Karran Khanna, Dia Mirza, Ranvir Shorey, Abhay Deol, Minissha Lamba, Sandhya Mridul, Vikram Chatwal & Arjun Rampal in a special appearence.

I took this screencap from Amisha-Patel.net

1. First, I cropped the image, sharpened it, used the blur tool to soften her face and then duplicated it 4 times. I set Layer 1 Copy to Screen, Layer 1 Copy 2 to Soft Light, Layer 1 Copy 3 to Multiply, Layer 1 Copy 4 to Screen.

2. I used a dark blue layer #000622 and set it to Exclusion.

3. I used a very light blue layer #C0ECF6 and set it to Color Burn.

4. I used a baby pink layer #FECBDE and set it to Color Burn.

It will look something like this after you're done with the first 4 steps:

5. And then, I pasted the base layer of the screencap over all the layers and desaturated it and set it to Screen 25%.

6. I duplicated it and played up with the colors using Curves until it looked pinkish and set it to Overlay 25%.

7. Then, I used this brush with color #FFFFFF and used another zizag line brush with color #FF8CAB.

8. And for the final touch, I wrote "THAT'S SO PINKY" using the font Arial Black and size 6pt and I used a pink color to write "PINKY".

Dhoom 2: Movie Review

Dhoom 2 works big time as the best sequel in Bollywood because of its cool action sequences and doesn't dissappoint anyone who's excited and eagerly awaiting to watch it.

Dhoom 2 has all the ingredients of a Blockbuster, unlike Dhoom. Although the special/visual effects weren't done well, the stunts and action sequences were wonderful.

As for the story, ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) finds another case of the unknown Mr. A (Hrithik Roshan) who is smart and technically skilled and known as 'the perfect theif' according to ACP Jai Dixit and then, Shonali Bose (Bipasha Basu) tries to help ACP Jai Dixit and Ali (Uday Chopra) with the case. Suddenly appears another clever theif, Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai), which later joins Mr. A and becomes his partner.

Songs and choreography of 'Crazy Kiya Re' and the title track were outstanding.

Dhoom 2 is Hrithik's movie all the way. He is very convincing as a theif.

Abhishek didn't get much scope but he was impressive but he was effortless about his look in the whole film.

Aishwarya looks mindblasting with her tanned look and for the first time she has made a completely different role, her performance was outstanding. But its gets very irritating when she keeps repeating the word "like".

Bipasha was okay as a cop, but was funny and good as the twin sister (Monali).

Uday Chopra does well in few scenes. Rimi Sen made a guest appearence.

Overall, Dhoom 2 is excellent and very impressive in both halfs. It will surely create a magic in the box office. Definitely a Blockbuster!

First of all, I really liked this movie but I think the climax was a dissappointment and it was a really long movie.

SRK made an outstanding performance, but his role was kind of annoying. Rani made her best performance, even better than BLACK. She was really impressing. Abhishek was brilliant. He did an amazing job. Preity was perfect! But she was really slow.

Overall, brilliant movie. The movie would've been much better if the climax was different. **SPOILER** It was better if SRK left and never went back to Rani as a punishment for her and maybe him too! **END OF SPOILER**

OK, my birthday was yesterday on August 23rd & I turned 14....I had a blast it was really great, but it wasn't that much actually...I just celebrated it with my family.

I also made a huge batch of Bollywood icons & icon light textures, I will be posting them ASAP. I also changed my LJ layout. I only changed the layout, since I really liked the previous layout's colors I thought of using them another time!

I started of with this image.

1. I just used the blur too all over her face except her eyes & lips and then I used a gradient with color #071B79 and set it to Exclusion.

2. I used this texture made by colorfilter and set it to Soft Light.

3. I used this texture made by colorfilter and set it to Overlay.
and this what will turn out with you:

4. I used this brush, don't remember who made it if you know please tell me so I can credit.

5. I went to Filter, Texture and chose Grain Intensity: 9% ,Contarst: 66%

6. I duplicated the base to the top and set it to Overlay.

7. And finally I wrote "wonderland" using the font Times New Roman and resize it and then I used the Rectangular Marquee Tool to make a rectange and set it to Screen.

And finally, the result is this:

Check out Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna teaser promo by clicking here. I got really more excited to watch this movie when I saw the promo on cinema, while I was watching Fanaa.

Fanaa was such a good movie!! It was totally amazing, but the 2nd half go a little boring. I didn't like Aamir and Kajol until I watched this movie, both made an award-worthy performance. I also watched Ankahee...one word, it's a must watch! Amisha stole the show, she made the best performance in the movie. Esha and Aftab were really good, Esha was really annoying as she supposed to be annoying...lol. Aftab did a good job but his voice was dubbed by Vikram Bhatt. He was expression less at times. I think Fanaa and Ankahee are the best movies of 2006 so far.

I've also watched Phir Hera Pheri yesterday, it was good and hilarious at times. But was mostly boring 'coz it was 3 hours exactly. Some scenes needed to be deleted, the movie was dumbly funny...lol. Akshay, Paresh & Suneil did a good job. Rimi didn't have much but was good. Bipasha was rarely there, I think she was only for 20-min in the movie.

One more thing, Happy belated birthday Amisha! <3

I really used to suck at making creations...First, I started making stuff with some ugly program, but I uploaded it in a site called "Aips School", they deleted the site and my creations were deleted...So, I was just looking through my picture albums in my PC and I found some sig I made, one my first sigs that I made using PS 7.

That sig really sucks! LOL...the only thing that doesn't suck in it is Amisha...look at her beauty, wonder whats she hiding behind that innocent face! :P

Ankahee, starring Amisha Patel, Aftab Shivdasani & Esha Deol, got some great reviews like IndiaFM's review. But the film went unoticed and might not do good at the box office like said in this article. Other than IndiaFM, sites like Glamsham.com, Bollyvista.com and other sites gave some excellent reviews for this movie and excellent, or I can say best performance by all the cast. Here goes another flick and fails at the box office, or does an average buisness. Fanaa will be releasing next weak, people will go an Amisha, Esha, Aftab movie or a movie with the biggest superstars having their comeback, Aamir & Kajol. Well, many excellent films went unoticed!
